Beyth-‘el is not a new Church or a radical movement that just sprung out of nowhere. It is a divine place of worship that was first revealed to Jacob in a dream. (Genesis 28:16-19; Psalms 78:5) Jacob described this place as the House of God and the Gate of Heaven. Not only did Jacob get the revelation, but God confirmed that this was his holy habitation in Genesis 31:13 when he said “I am the God of Beyth-‘el (Bethel). Moses told us that it is a commandment that we seek after this place all the days that we live upon the earth. (Deuteronomy 12:1-5); Solomon built a place which housed this name (1 Kings 5:5); And Isaiah said in the last days ALL NATIONS will come up to the place which was revealed to Jacob and confirmed by God. (Isaiah 2:2-3). Because Jacob was the founder on earth, the name is sometimes described as the House of God or the House of Jacob.(Zech 7:2-3; Luke 1:33)
Because Beyth-‘el was revealed to a Prophet in the bible, it and all the mysteries that go along with it have to be revealed to a prophet in the last days because it is a commandment that this system be established throughout the four corners of the Earth. This system cannot be duplicated because the mysteries are given to God’s chosen leader. (Deuteronomy 29:1,29, Amos 3:7; Ecclesiastes 12:11)
